Atlanta Blackhawks In The Pro's

The Atlanta Blackhawks coaching staff and cooperate office takes pride in developing young talent at the PDL level. After the first season (2009) the Blackhawks had four starting players sign professional contracts who have seen significant playing time at their new club.

 

(2009) Ryan Roushandel- Brujas FC

            Ryan Roushandel is a Georgia native who has won multiple youth club championships. During the 2009 Blackhawk season the Atlanta Blackhawks played a friendly with a professional team in Costa Rica where he was recognized for his tremendous center-midfield play. He then signed a professional contract with Brujas FC in Desamparados, Costa Rica.

 

(2009) Long Tan- FC Tampa Bay

            Long Tan, a Chinese forward is a former Chinese Olympic team player. In 2009 Long Tan was the Atlanta Blackhawks leading goal scorer in 16 games. He currently plays midfield and forward for a professional team in Florida called FC Tampa Bay.

 

(2009) Troy Cole- AC St. Louis

            Troy Cole was the Atlanta Blackhawks starting center back in 2009 where he started 14 games. After excellent play with the Blackhawks, Troy signed with a professional club called AC St. Louis.

 

(2009) Sean Johnson- Chicago Fire

            Sean Johnson played with the Atlanta Blackhawks in the 2009 season where he was the starting keeper. Sean is also well known for playing with the United States U-20 Mens National team and at the University of Central Florida. After playing with the Blackhawks, Johnson was drafted with the third pick of the fourth round by the Chicago Fire in the 2010 MLS Super Draft.
